Volunteers

De Esdoorn would not be the active community it is without the important work of our volunteers. Volunteering for De Esdoorn is fun and grounds you in our friendly and welcoming community. Our volunteers work as little as a few times a year and up to 2-3 hours per week, depending on the level of responsibility and commitment.

Board of Directors – responsible for the policies, budget and overall operations of the school. We are always looking for new Board members to get involved. Parents can also help the Board with specific tasks, such as marketing or pursuing charitable status for De Esdoorn.

Librarian – manages our library of over 1000 Dutch books, including storage of the library collection, transportation of books to and from our weekly lessons, and managing the lending list.

Cultural Events Committee – puts the fun in our Dutch Cultural Days. Along with the teachers, they organize the events, parent volunteers and more. Interested in joining the Cultural Events Committee?

Parent volunteers – we ask all parents of our School Year program to volunteer at a minimum of 2 cultural days per year, or to help with ongoing needs during our lessons.
