De Esdoorn is launching a Dutch language program for teenagers.

High School programs:

Program 1
For students from 7th and 8th grades who want to learn Dutch as a first language:

  • In person class (on a weekday or weekend) from September to June
  • Attends De Esdoorn Dutch Cultural Days
  • Teaching method is Nieuw Nederlands Toewerken, working towards the CnaVT exam (Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language)
  • Suitable for students who have completed group 8 at De Edoorn or for students from 7th/8th grade with sufficient knowledge of Dutch.

Program 2
For students from 7th and 8th grades who want to learn Dutch as a second language:

  • Online class (on a weekday or weekend) from September to June
  • Teaching method depending on the level of the students
  • Working towards the CnaVT exam (Certificate Dutch as a Foreign Language)

Yes, absolutely. After an intake appointment with the Director and teacher, the most suitable group will be found for you and the costs pro-rated based on when the student joins the class.

School fees
If a student joins later in the school year, the cost is pro-rated based on when the student joins the class.
