On 1 March 2019, de Esdoorn became Canada’s first Dutch school accredited by the Foundation for Dutch Education Worldwide (NOB – Stichting Nederlands Onderwijs in het Buitenland).
The NOB falls under the Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
