Are you looking for an opportunity to make an impact in a growing school and your community? De Esdoorn Dutch Language and Culture School is a thriving not-for-profit organization operating in British Columbia, Canada. Our mission is to foster a love for the Dutch language and culture, and we are proud of our diverse and dedicated community of students, teachers and volunteers. We offer language and culture classes at three different locations and online.

To become our Chair requires:
- A minimum commitment of 2 years;
- attending at least 8 monthly meetings per year (currently via Zoom);
- attending at least 3 cultural or special events;
- leading or being active on at least 1 board committee and;
- building relationships and/or using your professional network to support growth and fundraising efforts.
Share your knowledge and experience, support the Dutch culture and language development, and connect with other professionals on the Board.

If you are passionate about the Dutch language and culture and have the expertise to help us manage and grow our school, we would love to hear from you. De Esdoorn welcomes applications from all qualified individuals living in the Lower Mainland of BC. Dutch fluency is considered an asset but not required. These volunteer positions will undergo a selection process, including an interview and professional references. The successful candidate will be required to provide a valid Criminal Record Check before joining the board.
