At De Esdoorn, we don’t just teach Dutch language and culture—we celebrate it. And we’re looking for a creative, bilingual Social Media Administrator to make sure our message shines both online and offline.
What You’ll Do
- As our Social Media Administrator, you’ll be the voice of De Esdoorn online. Your role will include:
- Supporting the Director/Head Teacher with internal and external communication and content.
- Designing and distributing a monthly newsletter.
- Promoting De Esdoorn via Dutch and Flemish community networks (Dutch Network, BCABC, DutchBC, and more).
- Managing and growing our social channels (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn).
- Creating content that boosts brand awareness and celebrates our educational programs.
- Providing support in drawing up communication plans and creating content for marketing campaigns.
- Responding to online inquiries and connecting with our community.
- Sharing quarterly reports on our digital reach and impact.
- Researching social media trends and bringing fresh ideas to the table.
- Keeping our website fresh with the latest news, culture days, and programs.
Additional duties
- Represent De Esdoorn at cultural events (at least 3 per year).
- Join meetings with board members and external partners as needed.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is organized and has the creativity to make our content pop.
Required Qualifications:
- Fluent in Dutch & English (spoken and written)
- 2+ years managing social media accounts
- Strong knowledge of major platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn)
- Experience with analytics tools (to measure and improve social media impact)
- Additional Competencies/Skills:
- Creative, organized, and detail-oriented
- Analytical and efficient—able to measure what matters
- Commercial and customer-focused mindset
- Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
